Chris Harrison sets friendship record with Kaitlyn Bristowe
Recalling that experience, Kaitlyn shared the “benefit of hindsight” that showed her how Chris’ silence “had nothing to do with me”.
“I didn’t think about what you might go through,” Kaitlyn continued. “It’s not about me, you’ve been through a lot at that point.”
Acknowledging that Chris “probably didn’t even know” what to say to her at the time, Kaitlyn added: “You’re not like me. You react logically. I react emotionally.”
As for Chris, he noted that he just wanted a friend to check on him at the time. Describes himself as a “father” to many of the people he meets while hosting the show Bachelor And Bachelor, Chris said, “This time, I just need to say: ‘Hey, how are you? How are you?’ Not, ‘Are you okay that I’m on the show and you’re irreplaceable.'”
Telling Kaitlyn he “appreciated” her approach despite it, Chris added, “At the time, I couldn’t afford to deal with all of that. By the way, I did. really, really don’t worry at all about who’s hosting and who’s mentoring next or what the show’s going to do.”
