Classic Car Advertisement: Cars of 1912 | Daily Drive | Consumer Guide® The Daily Drive
Interesting thing to think about: 1912 was the first year Chevrolet was on the market. Now, 111 years later, Chevrolet still exists, but most of the brands below do not. It’s strange to think that this showroom is filled with cars that people who bought Chevrolet in 1912 either passed away, or simply couldn’t afford.
Take special note of the Michigan ad. Until I read this particular ad, I didn’t know that cars were grouped into categories based on horsepower. Or, maybe they didn’t. The auto industry is still evolving and comparisons between brands are often difficult to make, as many of these vehicles are sold regionally and cannot be easily obtained in every market.
And, considering the ads below, it looks like Detroit Electric is going to be a good brand to put back into business.
