Coach Mullins suspended, fined for testing positive for Clenbuterol in Del Mar Winner

Coach Jeff Mullins was suspended for 30 days and fined $1,500 for a “mutual settlement and waiver agreement” with the California Horse Racing Board (CHRB) to adjudicate positive for clenbuterol caused by one of the riders. His winning member activated at Del Mar last summer.
The terms of the agreement required Mullins to serve 15 days of suspension, remaining 15 days of conditional stay.
The administrator’s ruling, dated January 7, states that Mullins is “on probation for ONE YEAR from the date of this judgment and may not be in violation of any CHRB Rules and Regulations…with respect to substances Class I, II or III drugs. The period of suspension will be from January 9, 2023 to January 23, 2023. If JEFF MULLINS violates a condition of probation, the suspension of stay for TEN TEN DAYS will be applied upon notice and session. hearing.”
