Comedian Teddy Ray dies at 32
The comedy world has lost a rising star.
Teddy Raya comedian featured on the HBO series Pause with Sam Jay and Comedy Central show How to be brokenpassed away just two weeks after his 32nd birthday.
The Riverside County, California coroner’s office confirmed to E! News that the performer, whose real name is Theodore Browndied on August 12 at his home in Rancho Mirage, Calif.
A police spokesman told LA time That morning of August 12, delegates answered a call about a death at a home in the desert town. The spokesperson added, “The cause of death is not known.” The coroner’s office said the incident was still under investigation.
E! News contacted police for comment and received no response.
Comedy Central paid tribute to Teddy, from the city of Gardena, on Twitter on August 12. “Teddy Ray is a fun and beloved performer,” the channel’s message said. “He will be greatly missed by the entire comedy community.”
