Influence Media Partners, the US-based music and rights company founded by Lylette Pizarro in 2019, has just announced that it has acquired the portfolio of Grammy-nominated country music superstar Blake Shelton.
In a press release released by Influence Media, the company said that it had reached a “breakthrough agreement” with Shelton and that it had “invested” in his major record portfolio including all all of his commercial releases from 2001 to 2019.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
As part of the deal, the two parties created a joint venture that, according to Influence Media Partners, will treat them as partners “to promote his works and allow Blake to participate in a portion of the profits generated. “.
Warner Music Group will continue to lead distribution for Shelton’s catalog, having sold more than 10 million albums worldwide to date.
This partnership follows the recently announced Influence Media $750 million fund to invest in what it calls “high-value creations from diverse artists” with support from BlackRock Alternative Investors and Warner Music Group.
Last month, Influence Media Partners acquired the Grammy Award-winning rapper’s publishing portfolio Futurein what it says is an “eight figure” deal.
To date, Influence Media’s fund has invested in more than 20 categories from artists including Future, Puerto Rican songwriter and producer Tainy, singer-songwriter Julia Michaels, songwriter.
