Cowboys’ Tony Pollard ‘drops loose in 58-yard touchdown’
NEW ORLEANS – The Dallas Cowboys‘run game finally found some life thanks Tony Pollard.
Quick run back to the left from Dak Prescott and run 58 yards for a touchdown to give the Cowboys a 20-10 lead in the third quarter.
Before? The game’s best run was a 33 yard wide side-to-side receiver CeeDee Lamb.
The stubborn Cowboys continuously ran up the middle without being able to succeed against a solid New Orleans defence. Before long, Ezekiel Elliott had 14 yards on seven carry and Pollard had 6 yards on four carry.
Offensive coordinator Kellen Moore eventually called for a broad run and Pollard delivered. He had some help with the wide receiver Malik Turner and Noah Brown throw the main and center blocks Tyler Biadasz push him to the sideline where he crosses to safety Marcus Williams to the target line.
It was the longest run of Pollard’s career, a week after he warmed up back to 100 yards for a match against Las Vegas Raiders.
The last time a Cowboys’ ran again was such a long time: Alfred Morris had a 70-yard athlete on October 1, 2017 against Los Angeles Rams.
