The 72nd version of the nine-feather Comely could provide a kick-start for the $300,000 American Oaks (G1T) team on the lawn scheduled for the opening day of the winter/spring meeting, says McPeeks. Santa Anita on December 26.
“The goal is to get her to American Oaks by the end of the year,” he said. “The Valley View gave me a test drive where she can handle grass very well. She has shown in the past that she can run on anything.”
