CrossfireX will be shutting down in May
Remedy Entertainment and Smilegate have announced that they will be shutting down CrossfireX on May 18, 2023. This announcement comes just before the one-year anniversary of the game being released on Xbox Series and Xbox One on May 10. 2 year 2022.
“Since the game’s launch, we’ve worked tirelessly to bring it to a point where we can all be proud, and all the while we’ve been honored and honored to support support your players,” CrossfireX dev team said in a statement.
It continued: “Making this decision has not been easy, however, we can proudly say that our players have been dynamic, passionate and enthusiastic in working with us to create out a fun and engaging game for everyone. We want to thank each of our players for playing CrossfireX and being a part of this journey with us.

Sales of the game on the Xbox Store have been disabled and no new content will be added to the game, including maps, modes, and camouflages. Additionally, purchases made within the last 14 days from February 3, 2023 will be eligible for a refund.
In the meantime, players can continue to enjoy the game until the May shutdown. The in-game store will continue to open, but the option to purchase premium currency will be disabled. Players can still spend their remaining coins.
