Damar Hamlin’s uncle says NFL star is on ventilator
New details about Damar Hamlinwas brought to light.
After the safety of the Buffalo Bills Falling in NFL Monday Night Gameathlete’s uncle Dorrian Glenn shared information about her grandchild being hospitalized at UC Health.
“His heart stopped working so they had to resuscitate him twice,” Glenn said CNN January 3. “They resuscitated him on the field before taking him to the hospital and then they resuscitated him a second time when they took him to the hospital.”
Glenn told the outlet that the goal is for Hamlin, who is currently on a ventilator, to be able to breathe without assistance.
“They sedated him just to give him a better chance of continuing to heal better,” he said. “We’re just taking it day by day. It looks like he’s trending upwards in a positive direction.”
Glenn notes that Hamlin “lyes on his stomach” to help get blood up to his lungs and relieve pressure on the area.
