Dani Deahl named Head of Communications & Creator Insights at BandLab Technologies
BandLab Technologies has hired Dani Deahl as Head of Media & Creator Insights.
BandLabTechnologies says that Deahl will “act as a prominent cultural liaison, highlighting the department’s impact on the future of the music industry, and surveying industry changes to foster conversations and build connections”.
Deahl was most recently Editorial Director at Output, where she led the development of content strategy alongside artists such as Lucky Daye, Richie Souf, and Krewella.
Before her time at Output, Deahl was in the lead The Verge’s coverage of consumer music technology, writing features on topics such as music creation trends, AI, emerging genres, and creator platforms.
In The Verge, she also handles artist and producer relationships and hosts The Verge’s The video series, “The Future of Music,” features artists such as Charli XCX, Steve Aoki, and Eric Prydz.
She has also worked as an editor at NYLON, DJ Mag, and other publications, spanning the past 10 years.
As a figure in the music tech community, BandLab says Deahl has provided “thought leadership” at conferences around the world, including TEDx, AMP Music Summit, MidemMondo NYC, SXSW, Make Music, Billboards Live music conferences and more.
She is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Recording Academy of Chicago Chapter.
