Deontay Wilder Vs Robert Helenius – Video preview and prediction
Via Geoffrey Ciani: Upcoming October 15, in a match that will be televised on Fox PPV, heavyweight contender Robert Helenius will face former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder.
This is a particularly interesting match at this particular time. You have Wilder after his only two losses, consecutive losses he suffered against world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury; and then you have Helenius who recently revived her career with a straight win over the previously undefeated candidate, Adam Kownacki.
Going into his first match with the undefeated Kownacki, Helenius is generally considered to have washed and surpassed his best. But like a phoenix rising from the ashes, Helenius revived her career with a stunning performance. The former WBC champion, on the other hand, lost two straight games to Fury, a major setback that came after Wilder had 10 consecutive title defenses, including the draw he got in the game. First fight with Fury.
The biggest question is how much Fury has beaten Wilder, both physically and mentally. If Wilder proves nothing else against Fury, he has proven that his heart and courage are beyond reproach. Wilder also has a nuclear right arm, and he’s taken down every opponent he’s ever faced, including the 4 kills he scored against Fury in their trio.
Another big question regarding this matchup is whether Kownacki is as good as advertised, or whether his style makes for a favorable clash for Helenius. There was a time when Helenius was a promising candidate, who beat 3 former champions in the distance beating Lamon Brewster, Sam Peter and Sergey Liakhovich. But since that time, Helenius has lost three times before having a big chance against Kownacki.
So who will win the upcoming October 15 battle between two heavyweights Deontay Wilder and Robert Helenius.
This edition of Rummy’s Corner will try to answer that question while also providing a quick preview of the upcoming heavyweight bout between The Bronze Bomber and The Nordic Nightmare.
