Dillian Whyte will fight in November, want Joshua, Usyk, Fury or Joyce
Via Charles Brun: Dillian ‘The Body Snatcher’ Whyte Says He Plans To Be In A “The Great War” in November when he returned to the ring for the first time since being knocked out by WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury in six rounds last April.
Although there are lost two of his last three matchesWhyte is attacking the top fighters in the division, wanting a clash with one of these fighters:
- Anthony Joshua
- Tyson Fury
- Joe Joyce
- Daniel Dubois
- Deontay Wilder
Considering that Whyte (28-3, 19 KOs) has lost two of his last three teamfights, it is not realistic so that he has a chance to share the ring with any of the big five opponents on his wish list.
For now, Whyte is better off taking on 38-year-old journeyman Derek Chisora, as that’s a match better suited to where he’s at in his career.
When a boxer has lost 2 of their last 3 fights and received a humiliating defeat, they don’t deserve to be compared to heavyweight ice cream.
“There’s Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk; I want to fight Deontay Wilder, there’s even another slot at Tyson Fury. Joyce, Parker, Dubois. But my main focus is getting back to Joshua,” Whyte told Sky Sports.
I don’t see Whyte getting any of those names for his next bout in November. Even if Joshua loses his rematch against Usyk on Saturday night, it’s unlikely he’ll crouch that low to against Whyte in November.
If AJ loses to Usyk, he will aim for a lucrative fight against Deontay Wilder as it is a match that will go well in the UK and US and make a lot of dough to fatten his bank account. .
Joshua vs. Whyte II will only make sense if AJ is about to retire after losing a few more games. That will obviously happen soon, but it hasn’t reached that point yet with Joshua’s career.
As such, Whyte can forget about fighting Joshua because it will NOT happen.
Whyte needs to fight one of these guys in November in a “big battle”:
- Derek Chisora
- Allen Babic
- Agit Kabayel
- Zhilei Zhang
- Jermaine Franklin
