Dmitry Bivol analyzes Canelo Vs. Ryder fights for tonight
Via Knitting Ambrosio: Dmitry Bivol says tonight’s title defense for undisputed super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez against John Ryder could have some “Fireworks” in Guadaljara.
WBA lightweight champion Bivol feels Ryder (32-5, 18 KOs) is “custom” for Alvarez (58-2-2, 39 KOs), and there probably won’t be any “big surprises” in the end, but it will have some action. This is the fight Canelo wants, showing he’s confident he’ll beat Ryder tonight.
Canelo could have fought a rematch against Bivol or faced David Benavidez, but he chose to play Ryder instead.
Bivol will be Canelo’s next if he wins tonight. Canelo has said he wants a rematch with Bivol in September to avenge a loss a year ago in May in Las Vegas.
It will be interesting to see if Canelo tries to negotiate a rematch against Bivol to be held in Mexico or at the same venue as last time, where three referees scored 115-113 in one match. seems to be one-way. There should have been a score difference.
Although Bivol doesn’t mention it, Ryder’s speed and hand strength are impeccable. Tonight, he will be knocked out by Canelo and needs a good push to stand a chance of winning.
Ryder’s only chance of victory is if Canelo empty the tank after three or four rounds, as we’ve seen in his last two games. Canelo claims he was tired during those matches because of his left hand.
What Canelo said doesn’t make sense, but perhaps in his world, an injured hand meant he didn’t do his cardio in training camp.
If his coach Eddy Reynoso doesn’t make sure he’s focusing on his condition, it’s shocking, given that they’re just making camp movements for his final two games with Bivol and Gennadiy Golovkin.
In theory, John Ryder was designed specifically for Canelo. Don’t expect big surprises but there will be fireworks for sure – the hometown favorite master boxer takes on the underdogs with massive cojones #caneloryder

Just having a great engine might be enough for Ryder to win tonight. It is unlikely to be the case, given the contest’s placement. However, Ryder may be in luck as the judges make the decision for his hometown favorite, Canelo.
Bivol considers Ryder to be brave, and makes for an interesting fight with Canelo. The opposition that did well with Canelo were warriors who didn’t fear him and put it on him.
That’s what Bivol, Gennadiy Golovkin, Erislandy Lara, Floyd Mayweather Jr and Austin Trout did against Canelo.
