Dontmesswithjoanne Tops Fasig-Tipton Digital Sale May
Fasig-Tipton’s May Digital Sale ended on Tuesday with 34 lots selling for $1,402,700, yielding an average of $41,255. The offering included herd of stallions, including mares with ponies, race-age horses, and ponies. Five sold for six figures and nine sold for $50,000 or more.
Leif Aaron, Director of Digital Sales said: “The May Digital Sale is going strong beyond imagination. “We sold all kinds of horses and they sold very well, averaging over $40,000. Buyer depth for Digital Sales continues to grow, with over 300 registered users placing bids during this time period.”
Among the top results of the sale are Dontmesswithjoanne (Pioneerof the Nile), who sold for $210,000 to Good Luck Farm from a consignment by dealer Simms Bloodstock. Winner of shares from GISWs immediate family Stellar Jayne (Wild Rush) and Starrer (Dynaformer) sold alongside her in 2023 by Not this time. Another top shipment is Karakontie Leaflets (Karakontie {Jpn}), provided with her 2023 pony by start and bred with Vekoma in 2024, who sold for $200,000 to HMA from dealer Mullholland Farm shipment. Karakontie Flyer is the half brother of GISW’s Beautiful City Dancer (faucet)–dam of this year’s GI Kentucky Oaks winners Pretty Mischievous (Into Mischief)–and Lear’s Princess (Lear Fan). Rounding the top three is Cornice Traverse (Malibu Moon), was offered to carry her first pony to good magic for 2024. From the immediate family of Colonel MGISW John (Tiznow), she sold for $190,000 to Champion Equine LLC from a shipment of River Oak Farm LLC.
