EaseMyTrip buys YoloBus for undisclosed amount to expand non-aviation business
Online travel platform EaseMyTrip on Thursday said it is acquiring YoloBus, a next-generation premium intercity mobility platform, for an undisclosed amount to expand its non-airline business.
The acquisition includes YoloBus’ brand name, technology, team, business operations and data expertise, the company said in a statement.
EaseMyTrip will leverage YoloBus’ full-stack technology-enabled platform to deliver an enhanced and superior bus travel experience with safe, clean, comfortable and connected bus trips for commuting seamless interprovincial.
Commenting on this acquisition, Rikant Pittie, co-founder of EaseMyTrip said, “Tech-enabled bus travel is the future and we are expecting to see phenomenal growth during this period. next paragraph”.
Saying that YoloBus has carved a niche for itself in mobility, he said, “We are confident that its technology-powered mobility solutions will be a huge attraction.” for travelers and will further strengthen EaseMyTrip’s position in the segment.”
Last year, YoloBus raised Series-A capital, at a valuation of Rs 84 crore, from major investors such as Nexus Venture Partners and India Quotient.
It runs on a mobile template that takes care of the operational side of the business, including bus scheduling, ticketing, customer service, and network planning. More than three thousand customers have used its platform on more than 250 routes, connecting major tier I cities with tier II and III cities.
