Via Charles Brun: Eddie Hearn says Anthony Joshua has a superior background to Tyson Fury. AJ won’t be so condescending as to call a boxer like we saw with ‘The Gypsy King’ last Saturday when calling Oleksandr Usyk and Joe Joyce.
Hearn feels that the only two notable names on Fury’s 14-year résumé are Wladimir Klitschko and Deontay Wilder. Klitschko is 40 years old and not the same fighter as when he fought Fury.

“Everybody in the ring, everyone watching, wanted that fight to stop, but still, it was four or five rounds too long.
“Tyson Fury is an elite fighter, and he’s too good for him. He won every second of the fight, and it was one-sided. Well, it will be what it has always been. Everyone knows that,” Hearn said when told that True Geordie predicted that Fury vs. Chisora 3 wouldn’t be a good fit.
“We knew Chisora was going to try to win. I don’t really feel that Tyson Fury needs to prepare for Usyk. Tyson Fury has been boxing for a long time. He knows all the styles. It’s a payday.
“That’s not his style,” Hearn said when asked why Anthony Joshua didn’t call Fury after his win over Chisora. “Tyson Fury called everyone out. His [Joshua] resume in another league with Tyson Fury.
“Tyson Fury fought Wladimir Klitschko and Deontay Wilder. It’s about elite heavyweights. I know Dillian Whyte is a good match, but I’m talking about top, top guys consistently.
“He’s always been thrown into some easy fight, whether it’s Tom Schwartz, whether it’s Pianeta, whether it’s Sefer Seferi, Christian Hammer. AJ, in the last ten battles, didn’t.
“Tyson Fury is a great fighter, but AJ is not Tyson Fury. He’s not going to start poking fun at people, in their faces, and calling them profilers, bunnies and guys with happy teeth. It’s not his thing.
“I think they [Team Fury] sold 40,000 or something like that. It was a good effort, especially for December. Tyson Fury is a big draw, and he’s a big draw in America too. That’s why we always agree to fight [between Joshua and Fury] 50-50.
“When we signed, it was 50-50. Don’t forget that when Anthony is the champ and Fury draws with Wilder and he’s not the champ, we recommend him 60-40. He suggested the same to us, and he said, ‘No, I’m not going to fight. It should be 50-50.’
“When Tyson came back and offered us 60-40, AJ accepted the terms. We’ve never been there, so it’s irrelevant. So yeah, they’re both big stars,” Hearn said.
“No, he’s just perfecting his coaching staff, and when that settles down, we have three or four, and we’ll make a decision,” Hearn said when asked what Joshua will fight against. who’s next.
