Twitter owner, Elon Musk, said he went to Apple headquarters and met Apple CEO Tim Cook in tweets on Wednesday.
The meeting marked a day of significant de-escalation after Musk stormed Twitter accusing Apple of threats to pull the Twitter app from the App Store and posted and deleted a meme suggesting that he’d rather “go to war” than pay the 30% Apple platform fee.
“Nice conversation. Among other things, we resolved a misunderstanding about Twitter potentially being removed from the App Store,” Musk wrote on Twitter. “Tim is clear that Apple never considered doing so.”
In another tweet, Musk posted a short video of a reflective pool at the Apple Park center in Cupertino, California.
On Monday, Musk posted several tweets criticizing Apple and arguing that its App Store censorship policies go against the spirit of free speech, a complaint that was later echoed. by Republican legislators. Last weekend, he pondered that he can make his own smartphone.
