Enjoy the Authentic Taste of Italy with La Piazzas .’s New Menu
La Piazza is a large, refreshing restaurant with a modern atmosphere bordering on glitz. Nestled in the posh Hyatt Regency, New Delhi, stepping into La Piazza feels like stepping back into a bygone Italian flashy era with wooden tables, white and brown furniture, and light. Weak and open kitchen serving both pizza and burgers. It is refined without being ostentatious and the vibe of the place is perfect for a romantic evening. The restaurant that has given Delhiites a taste of the famous regional Italian delicacies is giving customers reason to rejoice with its new menu. It’s one that will make you want to come back to try their exclusive dishes as I bet you won’t be able to have it all in one visit.
Curated by Chef Daniele Macioce, the new menu at La Piazza is extensive and features a number of eclectic dishes such as spaghetti alla busara, pan-fried filet tagliata, zucchini linguine, tortino di Mushhi and others. The start is enhanced by the excellent quality of the ingredients used. We started with Insalata trentina, Battuto Di Asparagi and Cappesante Scottate from the Anitpoasti section. While Insalata trentina is a beautiful combination of greens, red cabbage, green apples, walnuts, toasted pumpkin and apple cider vinegar, the Battuto Di Asparagi is a wonderful combination of asparagus tarts, yolks, and asparagus. Fried eggs, parmesan and truffle sauce. Without a doubt, the standout was the Cappesante Scottate – sautéed scallops, green apple sauce, marinated dill.
For the main course we tried the Ravioli con ripieno di parmigiano and the Gammeroni fartinati con pate e carciofi grigliati. Ravioli drew us in. With the perfect taste of pesto ice cream, I might come back to try this! Of course, pizza is considered the main dish. The iconic La Piazza ‘The Original’ vegetarian pizza has been a hit since time immemorial. The thin crust pizza topped with grilled garlic, goat cheese, pesto and sun-dried tomatoes made us ask for more.
To finish off a well-matched theatrical note, we tried Crema Fritta Alla Veneziana – traditional deep-fried Ventian ice cream, wild berry sauce topped with vanilla ice cream – this dessert is a definite must if you’re dining in. here.
The overall vibe of La Piazza is poetic and rustic. So next time if you want to sample some good Italian food in town, then La Piazza at Hyatt Regency, New Delhi is the perfect place to be. The food here will linger in your mind long after you leave. Sale of appetizers!
