ESPN Analyst Jay Williams is facing backlash after defending NBA superstar Kyrie IrvingThe decision not to have the COVID-19 vaccine.
In the scene posted by TMZWilliams says he is receiving death wishes from people following Kyrie’s decision not to get vaccinated. New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco were affected by the mission, meaning the Nets, Knicks, Lakers, Clippers and Golden State Warriors were affected.
In response to choosing not to receive the vaccine, Irving was marked as ineligible to train or play with the Brooklyn Nets until he received it.
Williams, 40, hotly debated From ESPN First show with Stephen A. Smith about Irving’s decision. Williams argued that he personally disagreed with Irving’s decision, but he said Kyrie should have the right to do whatever he pleases with his body.
“Thank God, I almost died at the age of 21,” Williams said in reference to his gruesome 2003 motorcycle incident. “You know some crazy things people say to me on the internet when they disagree with my opinions? Hit the pole, go die again, educate Duke. Thank God I went through that experience, because I don’t need others to justify the way I think about myself. ”
Williams went on to discuss how Irving’s stance is realistic and that he “doesn’t owe you anything. He doesn’t owe you the answers you feel you need.”

Williams eventually took to Instagram to talk about unvaccinated players from other teams coming to play in cities with vaccine regulations. “Please help me understand.”
