Ethereum co-founder sees a decreasing role as blockchain becomes increasingly decentralized – TechCrunch
As class-1 As the Ethereum blockchain continues to focus on its roadmap towards greater decentralization, its co-founder, Vitalik Buterin, thinks that time may come sooner than expected.
In the early days following Ethereum’s launch in 2015, Buterin said he was conducting development and research, but now more than a dozen researchers and multiple development teams have taken control of the project, giving him and others the opportunity to step back into a prominent role on the blockchain.
“I think even today, we are at a point where the Ethereum project can function completely without me.” Ethereum Co-Founder Vitalik Buterin
Buterin shared during a press conference with TechCrunch during Korea Blockchain Week 2022. “The amount of work I have to do keeps decreasing more and more every six months.” It is much more decentralized now than it was three years ago, and I expect it to be more decentralized in three years from now than it is now.
