Far: Tide Change | New game today
Far: Lone Sail was first released in 2018 and it has gained quite a few fans – Game informant gave it 8.25 in our review – thanks to the unique premise, meditative gameplay and exciting world design. Developer Okomotive is back with its sequel with this year’s Far: Change Tides and it promises to bring all the environmental puzzles with it.
This time, your goal is to move a ship… to somewhere. To do that, however, you’ll need to find new ways to keep the ship afloat, discover how to overcome obstacles, and more. In this new installment of New Gameplay Today, your host, Game informant editors Wesley LeBlanc and Ben Reeves, talking about the game’s opening 15 minutes and some of the first puzzles in it.
How does it feel compared to Lone Sails? How’s the story so far? Does the Tides change bring all the Limbo and Inside-esque worlds that Lone Sails did back in 2018? Wesley and Ben talk about these questions and more in Today’s New Game. Thanks for watching and be sure to let us know what you think of this upcoming puzzle game from Okomotive, which will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC on March 1.
