First Foal a Colt for GISP Caracaro
‘s first pony Rising star TDN Cacaro (Uncle Mo–Peace Time, by War front) was born on the Dr. Gilberto Lopez Giraluna farm in Ocala, Florida on Friday. The pony taken from the Real Ruffian was unmarked (Ghostzapper), the dam of the First Illusion (Plan) is staked. The mare bred in Ontario was a Class III to Class III interim winner (Awesome Again).
Caracaro was paid a Rising Star in her second start, winning six one-mile races at the Gulfstream before finishing second in GIII Peter Pan S. in Saratoga. In his final career kick-off, he finished second behind GI winner Belmont S. Law Tiz in HOLD Runhappy Travers S. He enrolls in 2021 at Crestwood Farm and is standing in the 2022 season for $6,500 Live Foal (S&N).
