First Footage From HBO Max’s Last US TV Show Released
It’s been over two years since HBO first announced it was making a TV show based on Naughty Dogs’ Our Lastand today we finally got our first proper look at it.
HBO just released a trailer showing all the content coming to HBO Max over the next year and towards the end – I’ve set the video below to autoplay at the right time but if it doesn’t work that’s about 1:43 – has about 20 seconds of Pedro Pascal as Joel, Bella Ramsey as Ellie and Nick Offerman’s Bill:
It’s not much! Twenty seconds isn’t much whether this is its own trailer or not, and we really don’t see much other than a few chats and some guns. There is a short shot of the growth of some infected spores on the wall, some tense music, Nick Offerman looks stressed then the video cuts back to Game of Thrones.
But still, it was nice to see some actual footage of the series, almost a year after we went out to look at still images for the first time. Pascal looks and sounds as tired as you’d expect hope Joel is.
The show — reported to be the largest television production ever shot in Canada—was written and produced by Naughty Dog co-chairman Neil Druckmann, along with Craig Mazin, who was formerly a writer and producer on the critically acclaimed HBO Chernobyl.
G/O Media may receive a commission
Anyone hoping for a more certain release date for the first season—the show’s deal is for some—Comes with footage will be disappointed; revealed just saying that Our last is “coming next year”.
