The first mares have been confirmed as class I winning mares No parole (Violence), Oaks Whisper Farm and Coteau Grove Ranch announced Wednesday.
Among the first mares to be scanned on ponies included Coteau Grove’s Naive Enough (Street Sense), a sister at the table with the Rank I/Light the City winner, who in turn is the dam of the Class I Illumination, sold for $875,000 as a broodmare prospect last year at Fasig – Tipton November.
Coteau Grove advisor Andrew Cary said: “A mare with the qualities of Naive Enough is indicative of the type of mares we are breeding for No Parole to support her. “She was fourth in GII Golden Rod S. at the age of 2 and was a large, good-looking mare with an enormous pedigree. She already has two winners and her 2-year-old is currently training very well in Florida. We have a number of stake winners and stake makers registered with No Parole and will continue to support him. Whisper Oaks is a great partner for the horse and is also supporting it strongly. He has also been very well received by breeders throughout Louisiana. ”
No Parole, GI Woody Stephens S. 2020 winner, caught six of 13 starts and earned $369,866. He’s standing in his first season with a $3,500 promotional fee, stands and nurses.
