Ford Bronco driver arrested for making donuts in MLB ballpark
Major League Baseball is in lockdown and in danger of canceling the 2022 season. While that may be terrible news for baseball fans, it does present a huge opportunity if you are Ford Bronco The owner lives near a ballpark with nowhere else to go off-road. A driver in San Diego was in that situation, and for some reason, decided that their best option was to take the SUV to the yard in downtown Petco Park.
According to San Diego Union-Tribune, That dream was short-lived. While the Bronco driver stepped out onto the yard and tore off enough donuts to leave a noticeable mark on the dirt behind him, park yard staff quickly caught up with them. Crews walking around quickly mobilized and blocked the Bronco’s exit with a forklift before the driver realized they had been apprehended. A witness from someone in a nearby office building with a view of the stadium claimed that stadium staff then surrounded the truck, prompting the driver to calmly exit and give up his position in the deep left area.
When police arrived later, they reported arresting the driver for vandalism. Even if the lockdown ends and baseball season begins on time, park staff will still have a few weeks to repair the dirty yard before the baseball game kicks off in the Spring.
The Padres lineup could use a power left puncher, but baseball rules most likely consider the new Bronco illegal equipment.
