The new one Ford Mustang only a week left, but the rumor is long gone mixture and all-wheel drive versions are reported to be on the cutting room floor.
Three sources said Automotive News Hybrid variants have been removed. It is said to be all-wheel drive Mustang has also been cancelled.
One earlier Automotive News report said the hybrid version will be released in 2025, but profile of an alleged engineer on LinkedIn says the Mustang is set to launch in both four- and eight-cylinder hybrid variants.

Codenamed S650, the seventh-generation Mustang will be unveiled on September 14, Detroit time, at the company’s headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan.
The new car will be a 2024 model, suggesting that although it will be on display at next week’s Detroit motor show – for the first time since the COVID pandemic began – the Mustang will not be showing up in the rooms. on display in the US until some point in 2023.
Ford has teased the new Mustang several times, including a camouflage its exterior look and most recently, unmistakable rumble from its V8.
The seventh-generation model will replace today’s S550 and will stick to its tried-and-true formula of rear-wheel drive, two-door bodywork, dramatic styling and plenty of classic styling cues.
The seventh-generation Mustang is widely expected to feature a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and a V8. If recent history is anything to go by, there will be many different V8 variants throughout the life of the car.
Automotive publication believes the new Mustang will be in production for at least eight years, with the next model moving to a dedicated EV architecture.
Over the past year, Ford has rapidly reorganized itself to be more EV-centric. In March, the automaker make three parts: The Model e specializes in EVs, the Ford Pro is for commercial and government vehicles, and the Ford Blue focuses on the existing petrol and diesel model lines, such as the Mustang, F-150Bronco and forest ranger.
While electric vehicles currently account for only about 4% of Ford’s global sales so far this year, the company predicts rapid growth.
Electric vehicle adoption will be driven in part by customer demand, as well as legislation, such as EU proposed ban on new cars with internal combustion engines (ICE) from 2035, and California ban on pure new ICE vehicles from 2035.
For those interested, Mustang Mach-E increased U.S. sales by 49 percent this year to 25,765, while the Mustang dropped nearly 22 percent to 29,910.
The increase for the previous vehicle can be attributed to the improved supply, while the decrease for the ICE Mustang may be related to the current vehicle’s nearing end of life.
