Four Syphon filter games rated for PS5 and PS4 in Korea ahead of brand new PlayStation Plus launch
Sony’s new look PlayStation Plus isn’t out yet, but PlayStation fans can get a beloved hit classic as part of the membership.
Discovered GematsuThe Game Rating and Administration Commission of Korea gave ratings to four Syphon filter game for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Games include the original Siphon Filter, Siphon Filter 2, Siphon Filter: Dark Mirror, and Siphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow.
This will likely be great news for fans of the third-person shooter genre that has become synonymous with the PlayStation franchise. Unfortunately, not all Siphon Filter games are rated by the committee. Siphon 3 Filter and Siphon Filter: Omega Strain are not included, so it is not known if they will be listed in PlayStation Plus.
Sony recently revealed update to PlayStation Plus bringing it closer to Xbox Game Pass. If the Siphon Filter series is indeed available on this new PS Plus – as these ratings are no guarantee – it will likely fall below the “Premium” tier that adds PS1, PS2 and PS3 games (via streaming). route) and PSP into service. Looks like nostalgia will cost you.
The advantage of this is that you can download Siphon Filter games to your PS4/PS5. The Siphon Filter was never released on PS3 and is therefore free from technical problems prevent Sony from emulating PS3 games on PS4/PS5.
Last Sony release date revealed for its brand new PlayStation Plus earlier today, April 22. Release begins with Asian markets (sans Japan) on May 23, Japan on June 1, Americas on June 13 and finally Europe on June 22. Existing PlayStation Plus subscribers will get access to the “Essential” tier while those wanting the top Premium tier will need to shell out 17 $.99/month.
