Crotale NG is an all-weather multi-sensor, short-range air defense system developed by Thales Air Defense.
Crotale NG’s various subsystems are integrated into a single platform, making Crotale a stable and compact platform. The air defense system contains both radar and infrared sensors to provide the best visibility of air targets.
The latest upgrade of Crotale NG features an advanced thermal camera for reliable real-time photography during the day and night.
The system’s warhead carrying capacity is 13kg. The weapon system can launch warheads with a maximum speed of Mach 3.5 to a target 11km away.
The Crotale NG system offers aerial threat and situational assessment, extended detection range, friend or foe (IFF), multi-target detection plus collect, track and engage automatic and works in all weather. The ability to exchange data helps integrate Crotale NG into the global air defense scheme.
