Fulfill my passion, showbiz ultimate goal: LIVA Miss Diva Supranational 2021 winner Ritika Khatnani
Ritika Khatnani, who was crowned LIVA Miss Diva Supranational 2021, said being a part of the entertainment industry is her lifelong dream.
The 19-year-old, born and raised in Pune, won the title in a ceremony held last week.
Raised by a single mother who was a wedding planner, Khatnani said she aims to pursue acting in the future.
“Showbiz is my ultimate goal. My passion, excitement and love lies in acting. Although people always think of competing in beauty pageants, it was my mother who pushed me to enter the world of pageants.
“Her dreams are my dreams. She pushed me to give it a try and I believe it’s all worth it now. My motivation, you confide, my mother gave me this opportunity, she gave me wings to fly,” Khatnani told PTI.
For Khatnani, who is currently studying for a bachelor’s degree in mass media and communications at Mumbai’s Jai Hind College, strong ties to her family are her strength.
“My mother, grandmother and brother are the pillars of my strength. Celebrating each moment or going through the worst together makes us stronger… Family is what makes me stronger, their teachings, morals and principles ingrained in me. This unstoppable woman,” she added.
Khatnani said winning LIVA’s Miss Diva Supranational title means “everything” to her.
She believes that for a long time being considered “not good enough”, this contest has shown her strength to the world.
“This is everything I ever wanted. It is my gateway to the world, to show the power that I hold. A representation of myself to show everyone the miracle of an incredible 19-year-old boy… I had to face my own inner inhibitions, insecurities about the path of my journey. . ”
She will now represent India at the international Miss Supranational 2021 pageant, where the country has won twice with Asha Bhat in 2014 and Srinidhi Shetty in 2016.
Khatnani said she is “radiating with joy” as she represents the country on the global stage.
“There is a sense of pride. With the grace of God, I will bring back the crown! I will not leave any stones. Whether it’s communication skills or uphill walking skills, I’ll try to get better day by day,” she added.
