Turns out, the actress Gabourey Sidibe been married for over a year – and she and her husband Brandon Frankel kept secret from the public. Revealing the news on Monday morning”Living With Kelly and Ryan,” bombarded Sidibe, telling the hosts, “The problem with weddings is that I don’t like them. I do not like them. Here’s an example of how much I dislike them: I’m actually married. We got married over a year ago.” Ripa and Seacrest seemed as stunned as the rest of the world as Sidibe explained it was the first time she’d announced her “kitchen table” wedding.
Sidibe and Frankel then posted their rings on Instagram, with Sidibe’s caption, “Here are our official wedding photos! Our ring kitchen counter wedding by @happyjewelers followed by a stunning reception with flowers Aaron smelled sent to us and then a very romantic sunset dinner our masks because we are still in the middle of the epidemic We really want to have a wedding someday but but I can’t wait to marry this wonderful man.”
Sidibe wears a bridal white shirt and two pearl hairpins in the first image, showing off her baguette-cut diamond eternity ring and stacked card game engagement ring set with a round cut diamond and pavé band. Beside her, Frankel also raised his hand for the camera, revealing an eternal diamond ring with her slightly thicker channel setup.

Sidibe announces engagement back in November 2020 on Instagram, showing off the solitaire ring given to her by Frankel, her current husband. While it’s unclear when they started dating, the duo became Instagram official in September 2019, sharing a photo from date night on Frankel’s feed.
