Gary Busey Charged With Sex Crimes at New Jersey Monster-Mania Con
Actor Gary Busey faces sex crime charges in connection with his appearance at a horror film convention in New Jersey.
“It’s about contact. It’s about touching,” said Cherry Hill Police Lieutenant Robert Scheunemann according to the Philadelphia Inquirer reported that the actor allegedly groped the two.
Busey is no stranger to accusations — in 2016, five apprentice workers told The Daily Beast that he sexually assaulted a female employee while he was on the show.
This time, Busey, of Malibu, California, was charged with two counts of sex in the fourth degree, one count of attempted sex and another count of harassment, police said. said in a statement.
Authorities added that the charges relate to his stay at the Doubletree Hotel August 12-14 in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
He was a featured guest at the Monster-Mania Convention, a horror and memorabilia conference held at Cherry Hill. Busey has starred in films including The Story of Holly’s Best Friend, The Deadly Weapon and Break point.
A representative for Busey did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Daily Beast.
