Produced by Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicle, the HX series is one of the most widely used military trucks anywhere. More than 15,000 vehicles are currently in use worldwide. As an existing military vehicle, the HX trucks are systematically designed for maximum durability, mobility, ease of use and modularity, making them a class of their own. effectively.
Rheinmetall participated in a number of operations in support of Ukraine. In 2023, with the backing of the German government, Rheinmetall subsidiary Zeppelin Mobile Systeme GmbH will provide Ukraine with a turnkey field hospital.
In addition, Rheinmetall is participating in several “Ringtausch” activities. The “Ringtausch” is a procedure developed by the German government to support Ukraine’s war effort in cooperation with its European neighbors and NATO partner countries. Here, NATO countries transferred Soviet-era heavy equipment to Ukraine, in return for redundant Western-made systems.
As noted by the company, Rheinmetall is currently supplying various types of combat vehicles from the company’s stockpile, including Leopard 2 A4 tanks and Marder infantry fighting vehicles, to the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Greek. Moreover, HX 8×8 trucks of the same type as Ukraine are now supplied to Slovenia. In return, these NATO countries are transferring tanks and IFVs to Ukraine.
