Gervonta Davis Vs. Ryan Garcia at Allegiant Stadium Possible Venue for Match April 22
Via Craig Daly: Showtime boss Stephen Espinoza wants the match between Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis and Ryan Garcia to be held at the 60,000-capacity Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 22.
According to ESPN Knockout, Allegiant Stadium is one of two possible venues for the Davis-Garcia game, the other being the 21,000-seat T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Understandably, Allegiant Stadium is the preferred venue for the Tank vs Ryan match because you have a much larger audience. It’s better for fans when there’s a significant demand for ticket.
Espinoza pointed out that both boxers have huge fan bases from their social media following, and both will become bigger stars from there. Espinoza did not say his predictions for the PPV number, but he expects it to bring in lots of buys.
“I think it will end up at T-Mobile or Raiders Stadium, Allegiant Stadium. individual, I want to hold my first boxing event at this soccer stadium,Showtime’s Stephen Espinoza told ESPN’s knockout match.
“Both are very good places, but what is certain is that we will have a great weekend in Las Vegas.
“I don’t want to give pay-per-view expectations, but I think it’s the biggest fight out there. Both have huge audiences and are both young, but whoever wins, I feel this fight has the potential to make them both stars,” Espinoza said.
If Gervonta compared Ryan got better numbers than last weekend’s big fight between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury, it would be something special. Jake said he expects their match to bring in half a million purchases.
“I believe Ryan will win, but he must not fight Tank Davis,” Bernard Hopkins told fight. “He [Ryan] take the center ring, and he keeps the distance between him and his fist.
“Ryan will be hard to beat unless he fights Tank. This fight is someone who walks into the ring with the mentality of ‘I’ll get you.’ Ryan Garcia will have to find something he already has and use it now.
“The tank has to do what he’s doing, knock you down, turn you against him and make you punch and crouch, and he hits you with a punch,” Hopkins said.
