After scoring the winning goal in his first seven fights, Dzanie stopped Michael “The Shoe” Barnor, 13-5-2, in two rounds for the Ghana bantamweight title. In 2017, he stopped Isaac “Pretty Boy Junior” Quaye, 31-13-1, in a WBO Africa belt defense. He uses his “bolo” right arm like the great Kid Gavilan used to do before. In 2019, he beat Raymond Commey 19-7. He then scored the winning goal in his next and final matches.
In an interview, Dzanie said: “I started boxing when I was 7 years old. My favorite fighters in Ghana are Azuma Nelson and Ike Quartey.”

He added, “watching him fight today with Philly’s invincible welder” Dangerous Daryl Jones – only cements my position – he is simply too skilled, too big and too big. strong for anyone between 122 and 135″.
“My manager, Vinnie Scalpino from New Jersey, wanted to bring him here from Ghana. I told him I couldn’t coach him full time but Aaron Ford could. We’re trying to get more American style to go with his punching prowess,” said Dhafir Smith. Smith has attended training camps with Artur Beterbiev, Gennadiy “GGG” Golovkin, Andre Ward and Lucian Bute, along with training several Philly boxers.
It has been four years since Ghana produced a world boxing champion when Isaac “Royal Storm” Dogboe stopped WBO Junior Welterweight champion Jesse Magdaleno in the 11th round at the Liacouras Center, Philadelphia, Pa.
Aaron Ford said: “He was a hard worker, dedicated and able to fight. Ford worked with Philly boxer Derek “Pooh” Ennis, USBA champion, Willie Taylor, USBA champion, Willie “The Gladiator” Gibbs, USBA champion, Rasheem “Untouchable” Brown, Tri-champion State, Frankie Trader and Hank Lundy, the NABO champion.
