God of War Ragnarok Leaked soon, big spoilers everywhere
Upcoming God of War Ragnarokone of the biggest PlayStation games of the year, was slated to launch until November 9, but in the past 24 hours social media sites and videos have been flooded with clips of people playing their way. theirs throughout the game.
We wrote a similar story last week, but it is relatively small by comparison; some of the game reviewers accidentally shared their screenshots, and while some of them may have suggested certain things to happen, most were very nice.
This, though, is the whole game out there, over a week before release. It is believed that the game was leaked when a US store, with stock already in hand, accidentally started selling early copies, which in this genre of news stories has been a story. the same old story. Director Cory Barlog was understandably a little disappointed:
Meanwhile, since it’s easy to stumble across footage right now — some YouTube videos have millions already viewed — the developers of Santa Monica Studio have released a statement asking people to be considerate of fans who don’t want the game damaged, but also more realistic for those fans who have Maybe try and stay away from the Internet for next week:
As we approach launch, it’s important for our studio to maintain the God of War Ragnarök experience for players who want to enjoy the game for the first time without interruption.
We ask that you take care of the many fans who don’t want to accidentally see clips, gameplay or narrative spoilers, and avoid sharing them more widely.
We’re doing our best to limit the display of unadjusted footage and screenshots, but the reality is that we can’t capture everything.
For those of you who don’t want to risk seeing anything pre-launch, we strongly recommend that you turn off any keywords or hashtags related to the game until the release date.
We appreciate the support you have shown us more than we can say. We can assure you that it will be well worth the wait to experience the game for yourself when it is released in less than two weeks on November 9th.
Thank you
Studio Santa Monica
While there’s always a very constructive discussion about how the “spoiler culture” has shaped the discussion of our favorite games, shows, and movies.the God of War games are pulling in single-player adventures where seeing the story unfold is half the reason people play them. If that’s you, you might want to take Sony’s advice and just mute everything for the next week!
