Great Assassin’s Creed games are flooding PS Plus this month
Sony’s revamped PS Plus service is getting bigger and better every month, and October opens the manholes to a host of great games. Have Assassin’s Creed III and Syndicateyes, but also a lot Dragon Quest game, a recent remake of Grand Theft Auto: Vice Cityand even a former Xbox Series X/S exclusive, Medium. The only thing missing is that PlayStation classic PS4 and PS5 owners have been waiting for years.
Here’s the full list of what’s added to PS Plus Extra on October 18:
- Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
- Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered
- Assassin’s Creed Syndicate
- Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China
- Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India
- Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: Russia
- Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age
- Dragon Quest Builders
- Dragon Quest Builders 2
- Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight below
- Dragon Quest Heroes 2: Explorer’s Edition
- Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker
- Hohokum
- internal
- Medium
- Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – Final Edition
Bloober Team’s Medium is the only one on the list that’s exclusive to the PS5. The rest are PS4 titles, but playable on PS5, except Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, still doesn’t run right on Sony’s current generation console. Inside remains one of my favorite cinematic adventure games ever, and Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age is the perfect JRPG comfort food when it’s starting to get cold outside.
Much less impressive is what’s coming with PS Plus Premium, the service’s third and most expensive tier. Now in its fourth month, the $18 a month subscription library is still missing a lot of classic games, and the newest ones don’t do much to fix that:
- Yakuza 3 Remastered
- Yakuza 4 Remastered
- Yakuza 5 Remastered
- Ultra Street Fighter IV
- Limbo
- Castlevania lord of darkness
- Daily shooting game
Castlevania and Daily shooting game are still on PS3, meaning you can only play them via streaming. The rest is on PS4 and can be played natively. That’s great news for anyone who is salivating because Street Fighter VI beta version and is now yearning to revisit the PS3 hit of the fighting game series. But it is still far from what the hardliners want from the upper echelons.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 + Galaxy Z Fold 4
Flex, pose, post
In the face of stern competition from rival Apple, Samsung has really upped its game for Amazon’s Early Access Sales event. Right now you can nab two of the hottest new smartphones on the market: The Z Flip 4 and the Z Fold 4, for up to almost 25% off the usual asking price. This is a hell of a deal, considering both phones have been available for less than two months. If you’ve been waiting on an upgrade, now’s the time.
For a moment, it looked like Sony might quietly be bringing Ridge Racer 2 to PS Plus in October. The game wasn’t listed on the PlayStation Blog, but it was included in the new PS Plus trailer. Unfortunately, Sony removed the video just a few hours later. Maybe next month will get a short glimpse of Ridge Racer Revolution.
