Growth will bottom out in 2023 and bounce back next year

International Monetary Fund chief executive Kristalina Georgieva told CNBC on Tuesday that the days when her institution routinely downgraded global growth are nearing an end.
“I don’t see a downgrade right now, but growth in 2023 will slow,” Georgieva said at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
“Our prediction is that we will be down by half a percentage point from 2022. However, the good news is that we expect growth to bottom out this year and 2024 will be the year we finally get there. also see the world economy stabilizing. a flip side,” Georgieva said.
The International Monetary Fund has downgraded its growth forecast three times since October 2021.
The CEO’s comment came out the next day IMF releases new report says fragmentation could cost the global economy up to 7% of GDP.
