Guyana is a former British colony located between Brazil, Venezuela and Suriname.
The country is rich in biodiversity – as well as minerals. And over the past decade, some 11 billion barrels of oil have been found – the most important discovery of its kind in recent years.
But as the world moves towards greener economies, is it fair that countries like Guyana – which is working to overcome poverty and attract foreign investment – do not benefit from the new wealth. his own formation?
