‘Hats and Straps’ to Benefit PDJF, TJC Safety Net Foundation
‘Hats and Lanyards’, an online auction in which racing fans will have the chance to bid on and win ropes and hats from this year’s GI Breeders’ Cup Classic participants, will raise funds for The Permanently Disability Jockeys Foundation (PDJF) and The Jockey Organize the Club Safety Net. The fundraiser opened October 25 and runs through November 4 at 7 p.m. ET.
The auction winner of each rope is met and greeted with the horse by January 2023, and if they choose the Classic winner’s rope, they will receive $5,000. There will also be a limited number of Breeders ‘Cup caps by all Classic participants provided by the Breeders’ Cup and signed by the jockey scheduled to ride in the Classic that will be offered for sale for $200. la. Screens will be featured at Jock Tales, Fashionist Fillies and A Call to Post.
