3-year-old pony trained by Karl Burke El Caballo (GB) (Havana Gold {Ire} –Showstoppa {GB}, by Showcasing {GB}) backed the first black win in Lingfield’s 5th listed Spring Cup with 5th consecutive success in Newcastle’s three-year £150,000 All-Weather – the former championship, continuing on a rapid upward trajectory towards the peak of his career – and an ideal rehearsal for Royal’s G1 Commonwealth Cup Ascot – at G2 Cazoo Sandy Lane S. in Haydock on Saturday.
