“Heritage Liquor” Mahua Legalized in BJP’s Madhya Pradesh Tribal Outreach

A new excise policy that will legalize alcohol made from mahua is being implemented in Madhya Pradesh. The drink will be sold as “heritage wine”. Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said today that the state government is developing a new excise policy in which tribal communities will be allowed to brew traditional wine from Mahua. The right to sell this heritage wine will also be given to the donors.
The state CM also says that donors will be given the right to manage the community forest, they can plant the forest and have rights to its timber and fruit. According to Mukhyamantri Awasiya Bhu-Adhikar Yojna, residential land rights will be granted to them.
The “Aapke Gaon Ration” project was started in the state’s 89 tribal developments, where reasonably priced rations would be distributed via means of transport within the villages themselves. Meal facilities will now be purchased by providing loans to tribal youth through banks with government guarantees. Some money will also be provided by the government. For each car, the government will pay a rent of Rs 26,000 per month.
He also said that wrongful and minor cases filed against posthumously would be withdrawn. Sand will be provided free of charge to the tribal community to build houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Granting tribal communities the right to sell vein leaves from next year is also being considered. This work will be done through forestry committees.
Mr. Chouhan said that private money loans as of August 20, 2020, to people from tribal communities with higher interest rates will end. Four rural engineers from tribal communities will be appointed in each village. Tribal youth will be trained for recruitment in the police and military. Water will be provided to every household through faucets, the minister said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to celebrate the Janjatiya Gourav Diwas nationally every year on November 15th, and organize various shows of tribal pride for a week in all parts of the country. . He started the campaign from Bhopal. Mr. Chouhan attended the closing ceremony of Janjatiya Gourav Saptah at Ramnagar Mandla today. He also conducts Bhoomi-poojan (foundation ceremony) of development projects worth more than Rs 600 crore from the site.
