Hitman 3: Year 2 Content Includes Map, Storyline, New Modes and More
Hitman 3 has been out for almost a year, and while the first year’s content is expansive, Year 2 is shaping up to be just as big, if not bigger.
IO Interactive, the developer behind Hitman 3 and the two Hitman games that came out before it, has released a new game blog post Today details the first year of the game. IO revealed that Hitman 3 is the most successful Hitman game of all time and its World of Assassination Trilogy has reached the 50 million player milestone. It also revealed that year 2 will begin in less than two months.
“Hitman 3 – Year 2 will begin on [January 20, 2022] with post-launch support confirmed for another 12 months,” IO wrote on the blog. “New maps, storylines, modes and gameplay are all set for 2022, which is set to be another exciting year.”
Also, coming to Hitman 3 next year is ray tracing on PC. Plus, PC VR will support in January, as well as a new Elusive Target Arcade mode.
“A new way to play Elusive Targets arrives in Hitman 3 in a brand new game mode we’re calling Elusive Target Arcade,” the blog post reads. “Prepare to take on the ultimate elusive Goal challenge in a twist to the established formula in this fan-favorite game mode. Arcade All Elusive Target content will be a permanent addition to the game. Full details on how this game mode will work will be shared in early January 2022.”
Blog posts ending with “[REDACTED] The update states that IO has a “major game update planned” for Spring 2022. No other details were given, but the image below was attached to it.
