Houston Rockets rookie Jalen Green rests for at least a week with left hamstring strain
Houston Rockets rookie guard Jalen Green Coach Stephen Silas told reporters he will be out for at least a week because of a strain on his left hamstring.
Green, #2 overall pick in the NBA draft, started Wednesday 118-113 wins via Chicago Bulls in the second quarter because of an injury.
Silas said Green will be reevaluated in a week, but there is no firm timetable for his return.
The 2-16 Rockets, who are trying to rebuild with Green at the center, went through a 15-game losing streak to the chagrin of the Bulls.
Green, 19, has started every game this season. He is averaging 14.0 points, 2.3 assists and 2.7 passes per game while shooting 38.2% from the floor and 27.8% from the 3-point range.
