How to make pineapple jam?
1) First, you take the pineapples that you want to make jam. Cut them into several pieces. Mix them all together into a smooth paste.
2) Now, take a separate pan and pour all the mixture into it. Cook thoroughly for a while and keep stirring. Add a sufficient amount of sugar as you continue to stir. You may see a layer of foam (scum) build up on top during cooking, however, you can remove it with care.
3) Continue cooking the paste and a little salt and squeeze some lime juice. Again, cook it for a while, until it reaches a jam-like consistency.

Chef Sanjeev Kapoor previously shared another pineapple recipe – pineapple shikanji. One of the most popular ways to beat the summer heat is to drink plenty of cooling water. When it comes to coolers, shikanji is a popular choice. It’s a traditional carbonated drink using lemon juice. To make Sanjeev Kapoor’s version of pineapple shikanji, first mix the fruit parts and sugar together. Strain off the pulp and add some lemon juice. In a glass, add salt, black salt and roasted jeera powder along with chaat masala. To this mixture, add pineapple syrup, mint leaves and ice. Add club soda and your drink is ready.
Going back to fruit jams, they allow us to enjoy the taste of seasonal fruits for a longer period of time since they can of course be preserved. They are one of the best ways to enjoy nature’s bounty all year long.
