Huawei P50 Pocket launch confirmed on December 23, introduces the familiar Vertical Fold Design feature
The Huawei P50 Pocket foldable smartphone will launch on December 23, the company confirmed on Tuesday. Huawei’s upcoming handset could come in two color options, based on the trailer shared by the company today. While Huawei has yet to officially announce the details including the specifications of the smartphone, the teaser suggests it could come with the familiar vertical folding design. According to previous reports, the company has been working on a smartphone that could be called Huawei Mate V.
The company tweeted the teaser earlier today, with images of two gold and silver panels placed in the corners along with the words “Huawei P50 Pocket” with a launch date of December 23. shared by Huawei.
While there are some details about the smartphone’s specifications currently, the smartphone has been tipped to launch with the Kirin 9000 SoC in China, dubbed Huawei Mate V, suggesting it maybe a 4G smartphone. Global variations, according to a report by XDA Developers, it is possible to use the Snapdragon 888 SoC under the hood. The device is also said to come with a 6.7-inch display and may feature the vertical folding design of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3.
However, the Huawei P50 Pocket is not the only smartphone expected by the company to launch in the near future. According to an elder report, the company is also set to launch Huawei Watch D, the company’s first wearable to support blood pressure monitoring, on December 23. The smartwatch may have a square design with dedicated buttons, including includes both home and health, and may come with electrocardiogram support. However, the company has yet to announce the details of the smartwatch, including pricing and specifications.
