Via Ken Hissner: At Super Arena, Saitama, Japan, on Saturday promoting DAZN GGG in the Main Event 15 months back in his 21st defense at IBF and IBO world middleweight champion Gennadiy “GGG” Golovkin, of KAZ in the stoppage of the 2012 Olympic Gold medal match WBA world middleweight champion and medalist Ryota Murata of Japan, in a unified round in the ninth round, he defeated him with a single round. mixed left and right and threw a towel into the corner of Murata.
In the WBO World Flyweight tie, Junto Nakatani stopped Ryota Yamauchi for eight rounds.
In the IBF Main Event and IBO World champion Gennadiy “GGG” Golovkin, 42-1-1 (37), #160, of Karaganda, KAZ and LA, CA, stopped the WBA world middleweight champion Ryota Murata, 16-3 (13), #160, from Tokyo, Japan, scores a knockdown on the ninth knocking out Murata in 12 scheduled innings.
In the first round, Murata made a quick start in the first minute but Golovkin’s stab prevailed and then good chin punches. Murata has a small cut on the bridge of his nose. In the second half, it was a favorable one for Murata with the right to Golovkin’s body.
In the third round, a minute later, Murata hurt Golovkin with a ball to the torso. In the final minutes, Golovkin came back well but not enough to win the inning.

In the fourth round, Golovkin sucked Murata’s nose. In general, Murata continued to rush into the body, injuring Golovkin and landing right on Golovkin’s head. In the fifth round, Golovkin started well from the first minute but Murata dominated the rest of the round. In the sixth round after half a minute, a Golovkin punch knocked out Murata’s chance. He continued to land Murata until the end of the first half when Murata returned well but not enough to win the round.
In the seventh round, Golovkin attacked more, injuring Murata, causing him to be roped several times. In the 1/8 round, Golovkin dominated in the first half when Murata was in the defense. For the rest of the half, Murata played well but not enough.
In the ninth round, Golovkin immediately injured Murata with a punch to the chin and nearly stopped him in the middle of the road. At the last minute, Murata came back very well until a hit to his right and left chin caused Murata to corner and referee Luis Pabon had to give chase.
Japan lightweight champion Shuichiro Yoshino, 15-0 (11), #134, of Tokyo, JAP, won in an action-packed technical decision against former WBO World Super Feather champion Maysayuki Ito, 27-4-1 (15), #135, of Tokyo, JAP, in the eleventh round of 12 scheduled rounds, for the WBO Asia Pacific and OPBF titles.

During the second round, Yoshino drew blood from Ito’s nose with his right hand. In the third round, Ito warned him twice for hitting the back of the head. Yoshino continued to draw blood from Ito’s nose with his fist. In the sixth round, Ito had his best round with good form and reverse headers.
In the seventh round, action was even better with Yoshino doing well the body of the match evenly midway through. In the eighth round, a left hook from Yoshino opened a cut under Ito’s left eye. In the ninth round, Ito made a good comeback after losing the previous three rounds but had his left eye amputated which had to be checked by the ring doctor.
In the eleventh round, a clash of heads caused by Yoshino brought the match to a halt. The final score was 107-102 twice and the 106-103 this writer got.
WBO World Flyweight Champion Junto Nakatani, 23-0 (18), #111 ¾, of Sagamihara, Kanadawa, JAP, 2nd place, Ryota Yamauchi, 8-1 (7), #112, of Osaka, JAP, at 2:20 of the 1/8 round of the 12-round schedule.
In the final twenty seconds of the first round, the taller Nakatani was on Yamauchi’s knee with the left on his chin. In the final seconds, a left slash on Nakatani’s chin once again wounded Yamauchi. In the second round, Nakatani had Yamauchi’s bad face with a broken nose that could have been malicious headers. In the third round, Yamauchi continued to move forward and rose above power from the shaken Nakatani with more than a minute remaining in the round and again in the final twenty seconds.
In the fourth round, Yamauchi landed with his first solid punch, right on Nakatani’s chin. The rest of the way Nakatani chose Yamauchi, especially with the upper right cut at the chin. In the fifth round, Nakatani decided to stay inside and not move around the ring, giving Yamauchi a chance to score punches. In the second half of the round, Nakatani started to return to his style of movement to catch up with Yamauchi. In the sixth round, Yamauchi held out a lot with Nakatani still punching him in the head.
In the seventh round, Yamauchi continued to hold out quite a bit with his face swollen, especially his left eye. Nakatani hurt Yamauchi near the last minute with a mid-left left kick to the chin. In the eighth round, at the last minute, Nakatani let Yamauchi get seriously injured with an elbow to his chin and a right knife to his chin that made referee Nakamura wisely stop.
