Britain is awash in glitz and competition for the Platinum Jubilee, the four-day celebration of Queen Elizabeth’s seven decades on the throne, with street festivals, luncheons and even occasional… see the queen.
The festivities kicked off on Thursday with a birthday parade as the queen was joined at Buckingham Palace by members of the Royal Family, who joined on horseback and carriage. The parade, called Trooping the Colour, closed with a flyover by the Royal Air Force.
