The force said several neighboring police forces, including the assembled police unit, had been deployed to control the matters. Dispersion, stop and seek powers are also used to restore calm.
“Officers became aware of groups of youths gathering on Sunday afternoon in the North Evington area of the city. Officers spoke to them and took steps, including placing a makeshift police line, to minimize harm and disturbance to the community,” police said.
