India vs New Zealand: Cheteshwar Pujara “Undeterred” in the face of century drought

Responding to a question about his drought of the century during Tuesday’s pre-match press conference, Pujara said, “As far as I’m concerned, when will it happen. My job is to play. good for the team and it’s not. I didn’t run I had my 80s and 90s. As long as I hit the ball well and contributed to the team, I don’t mind my hundred. .”
Vice-captain for the opening Test in Kanpur, with Ajinkya Rahane taking over the captaincy duties in the absence of regular captain Virat Kohli, Pujara said the appointment would not bring much change to his role it’s on the team.
“More responsibility can be beneficial for you because you can share experiences with young players. Even if I’m not vice-captain, I try and share my experience as much as I can and it’s important. The last focus is on the Indian team,” Pujara said.

Before that, India won a series of three T20I matches with a score of 3-0 against T20 World Cup runner-up New Zealand. Kohli, who will continue to take a break from the Kanpur Test, will join Team India for the second Test in Mumbai starting on December 3.
