India vs New Zealand: New Zealand cricketer Mitchell McClenaghan responds to India fan’s Jibe with “Nonsense Series” comment

New Zealand cricketer Mitchell McClenaghan weighed in on what’s going on India and New Zealand T20I Series with an unfriendly comment to Indian fans. The unpopular New Zealand player used the phrase “nonsensical series” to define the T20I series that New Zealand lost in a match that was still to be played. While responding to a fan’s comment, McClenaghan also highlighted the fact that New Zealand toured India 72 hours after losing the T20 World Cup final to Australia and having to play three games in five days. He also reminded fans that India enjoyed 10 days of rest after bowing out World Cup T20 Soon.
To a fan’s post that read “New Zealand lost the series”, McClenaghan replied: “Right? You mean in a pointless streak 72 hours after the WC final defeat by 3 games in 5 days playing a team has 10 days rest. home conditions?”

New Zealand lost the T20 World Cup final to Australia on November 14 in Dubai and had to play its first T20I match in India three days later on November 17 in Jaipur.
The away team lost the first T20I by five sockets. When asked to hit the bat, New Zealand posted a total of 164 runs in 20 rounds that India overhauled with two balls remaining.
The action turned to Ranchi, where the Indian team once again outperformed New Zealand, winning the game comfortably with seven catches. India’s newly appointed T20I captain Rohit Sharma won again and asked Tim Southee’s men to beat first.

India have set their sights on 154 runs where they are easily chased in 17.2 runs to take a 2-0 undefeated lead.
